Debra Burden

Chief Executive Officer

Selectability

Debra joined selectability in 2017. At that time selectability was going through a major merger and the NDIS was rolling out. selectability’s revenue at the time was $7M pa, 70 employees and a surplus of $400K. Seven years later, selectability’s has revenue of over $70M pa, employs over 900 staff and has a surplus of $5.1M.

In September 2023, selectability moved into Aged Care for the first time by taking on responsibility of three very remote First Nations Residential Aged Care homes in the Lower Gulf (Mornington Island, Doomadgee and Normanton) funded under the NATSIFAC program.

In the first 12 months selectability volunteered to be a trial site for the accreditation process for the new strengthened standards with the result of two minor non-conformances.

This was followed by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission undertaking Quality Reviews on the three homes in October 2024...with the result of achieving METS for every standard in every home.

In January 2025, selectability was approached to take on responsibility for the delivery of Aged Care Home Care services in the Cape for the very remote First Nations community of Aurukun.  This will be in place from 1st July 2025.
